Multi-family Rental Recovery

The Disaster Recovery Program Multi-family Rental Recovery program provides funds for rehabilitation, reconstruction and/or new construction of affordable rental housing projects with eight or more rental units under common ownership. This is generally geared towards public housing and large mixed-use developments.

The Multi-family Rental Recovery Program is implemented locally by eligible cities, counties, councils of governments and public housing authorities.  These entities contract with the Land Office as subrecipients. The Land Office oversees the implementation of the program by the subrecipients.

Texas Rebuilds provides technical guidance, training materials and support documents to help streamline execution and increase efficiency from the start of the program when the subrecipient requests funding to the completion of the grant.
